For a batter, strike rate is runs scored per 100 balls faced. For a bowler, it is the number of balls bowled per wicket taken.

The two uses look alike and mean different things. Always label which one you mean.

Questions scorers actually ask

01 What is a good batting strike rate?
It depends on the format. A T20 batter scores faster than a Test batter, so compare within the same format.
02 What is a bowling strike rate?
The balls bowled per wicket. A lower number means the bowler takes wickets more often.
