The terms for using the CricSport website and scoring app: accounts, club records, live links, acceptable use and what CricSport does and does not guarantee.

1. Who we are

CricSport is operated by [legal entity name], registered at [registered address] (“CricSport”, “we”). Contact us at [contact email].

These terms apply to the CricSport website, the editorial library and the CricSport scoring app (together, the “Service”).

2. Accounts

You need an account to score matches, manage a club or run a tournament. You must give accurate details and keep your password private. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used your account.

We send a verification email to the address you register. Until you verify it, you can still sign in, but you will see a reminder to verify so that password recovery works.

3. Club and match records

The scorecards, player details and match data you enter belong to the club or organiser that created them. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to enter the names and details of other people.

Finalised matches can be corrected only through a recorded revision, so the history of changes is kept. We keep audit records of significant actions such as role changes and visibility changes.

4. Live links and visibility

A match can be private, unlisted or published. A published match appears on the public live list, and an unlisted match can be seen by anyone with its link. Choose visibility carefully before you share a link, because it can be seen by people outside your club.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to post unlawful, abusive or misleading content, to harass players or officials, to scrape the site at a rate that disrupts it, or to attempt access to accounts or records that are not yours.

6. Cricket rules and statistics

Articles on this site explain the game for scorers and fans. The MCC Laws and your competition’s playing conditions are the authority on how the game is played. Calculators and guides are teaching tools and are not official scoring or DLS software.

7. Charges

The Service does not take payments in the app at present. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you the price and terms before anything is charged.

8. Availability and warranties

We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but scoring depends on devices, connections and people. The Service is provided as it is, and to the extent the law allows we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every record is error-free. Keep your own copy of important scorecards.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. Some records, such as completed match scorecards, may remain for the clubs and competitions that depend on them.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. [Liability cap and exclusions to be confirmed by counsel.]

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will show the date of the latest change. [Governing law and jurisdiction to be confirmed by counsel.]
